I saw this on a post from The Haunted Wordsmith and thought I’d join in on the fun! I’ve also fallen a little behind lately so here is my Day 27-30:
Day 27
Concrete Angel – Martina McBride
SO many in the Country category that fit this description to a T. Still, I think Concrete to date might take the cake.
Day 28
American Child – Phil Vassar
I love artists like Phil who’s voices are just pure and crisp. This is probably my favorite from him because it has so much passion. My favorite part is the ending verse where he talks about his grandpa.
Day 29
We listened to old school Rock ‘n’ Roll and 90s/early 2000s Country growing up. I’m going to have to pick 2 out of each category:
Winds of Change – Scorpions
I’m Alright – Jo Dee Messina
Day 30
Who I Am – Jessica Andrews
This song makes me feel so good in such a way that I can’t describe. In the beginning of the chorus I like to change the name to Doris Jane — Because that’s my grandmother’s name. As a whole, though, this song reminds me of all my family and loved ones that I’m still close to. These people are who I am and where I came from.
